The PGA Tours schedule continues after a break for the Presidents Cup where the victorious U.S. team beat the International squad 17.5 to 12.5.
This week the Tour heads to Jackson, Mississippi for the this week’s Sanderson Farms Championship. Despite the water concerns in Jackson, the show will go on with the PGA Tour’s only trip to Mississippi.
The Country Club of Jackson was apparently unaffected by the water crisis affecting many of the city’s residents as the golf course is supplied by water by a aquifer.
The 2nd event of the new season did receive a slight bump to the purse. This year the field will play for a total of $7.9 million, up from $7 million in 2021.
