The PGA Tour continues this week with the 6th event on the 2022-2023 schedule.
This week the PGA Tour is in Bermuda for the second event of the season held outside of the United States.
Starting in 2019, Bermuda has hosted the PGA Tour event 4 times including the 2020 pandemic affected season.
In 2020, the event was elevated to a full-field tournament as it was previously an alternate field event in its inaugural year.
The purse for the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship is $6.5 million, the same as the 2021 event.
Despite an increase to event purses as a result of the threat of the upstart LIV Golf Series, the PGA Tour elected to keep the purse amount for the Butterfield Bermuda Championship the same.
The winner of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship will receive an invitation to the Masters Tournament.
Even with a Masters invitation on the line, the smaller purse will not attract the strongest of fields.

Players to Watch
Joseph Bramlett
Bramlet is making his fourth start of the new season. Joseph has made the cut twice at the Fortinet Championship and Sanderson Farms Championship, and missed the cut at his last event the Shriners Childrens Open.
After skipping trip to Japan for the ZOZO Championship, and last week at the CJ Cup in South Carolina, Joseph is returning to competition after two weeks off.
This will be Joseph’s 4th trip to Bermuda and his best finish was 31st place in the inaugural event in 2019.
Willie Mack III
A prodigious winner on the APGA Tour, Willie Mack III earned his Korn Ferry Tour Card and an invite to play in this year’s event.
Mack also won the inaugural Butterfield Bermuda APGA Championship earlier this month.
Mack earned his KFT card by finishing tied for 14th place in the KFT qualifying tournament in Plantation, FL.
