The PGA Tour heads to St. Simons Island, GA for the RSM Classic. Established in 2010, this year will be the 13th edition of the event.
Last year’s champion Talor Gooch will not be in the field this week due to his defection to LIV Golf and his subsequent ban from PGA Tour event.
The purse this year received a nine hundred thousand dollar bump from $7.2 to $8.1 million. The winner will take home $1.458 million up from $1.296 million in 2021.

Tony Finau
Tony is looking to go back to back after winning last week’s Cadence Houston Open. Tony’s 4 shot win marks his 5 on the PGA Tour and 3rd in the last 4 months.
Finau won the 3M Open and Rocket Mortgage Classic in back to back weeks in July.
This will be Tony’s 5th trip to Sea Island Golf Club for the RSM Classic. In four previous events Tony has failed to make the cut.
This season in 3 events played Tony has two wins and a missed cut. Finau was on the victorious Presidents Cup team that won at Quail Hollow back in September, but missed the cut in his first official start of the season at the Mayakoba Championship in Mexico.
Tony has withdrawn from this week’s event citing a minor injury.
Sahith Theegala
This will be Sahith’s second trip to Sea Island Golf Club. His first appearance last year resulted in a missed cut.
Coming off of a strong rookie season in 2021-2022, Sahith has made the cut in 4 of the 5 events he’s entered this season, and has three top-25 finishes.
Sahith finished tied for 22nd place in last week’s Cadence Bank Houston Open.
Cam Champ
This is Cam’s third trip to Sea Island Golf Club. His best finish was 6th place in the 2018 event.
So far this year in 5 events Cam has missed the cut 4 times.
His sole cut made resulted in an 8th place finish at the Zozo Championship in Japan.
Joseph Bramlett
This will be Joseph’s fifth trip to Sea Island Golf Club. In four previous trip Joe has yet to make a cut.
So far this season Joe has just two missed cuts in six event entered. His best finish of the season was tied for ninth place in last week’s Cadence Bank Houston Open.
Joe had no top-ten finishes in the 2021-2022 season, and his last top-ten was a tie for seventh place at the Byron Nelson Classic in July of 2021.
