Mexico Open at Vindanta

The PGA Tours gets its passport stamped as it heads south of the boarder for the Mexico Open at Vindanta.

The field this week will feature the #3 player in the world, Jon Rahm, who is coming off of a T-27 finish at the Masters.

This is the inaugural event for the Mexico Open on the PGA Tour.

The event was held last year on the PGA Latinoamerica Tour prior to being added to the PGA Tour schedule.

Players To Watch

Tony Finau is no stranger to Mexico, and has competed in Mayakoba six times.

The last event Tony competed in was the Masters’ where he finished T-35.

Another that isn’t a stranger to Mexico is Cam Champ, who has competed in the Mayakoba three times.

Champ finished the Masters’ T-10 which was his last event entered.

This will be Joseph’s fourth time competing in Mexico with the previous three coming at the Mayakoba.

Bramlett has made the cut in four of his last seven events despite missing the cut in last week’s Zurich Classic team event.

This will be Sahith’s first trip to Mexico for a PGA Tour event.

Sahith’s streak of 4 cuts made was snapped in New Orleans at the Zurich Classic.

Paired up with Beau Hossler for the team event, their five-under par score wasn’t enough to make the 10-under par cut line.

Theegala has made the cut in 14 of 19 events this season.
