Tiger Woods committed to the 150th Open Championship, but was non-committal on playing in the PGA Championship.
When asked of his next event by Cara Banks of Sky Sports Golf after his final round of the Masters, Woods noted that he “really didn’t know” what his next event will be.
But toward the end of his interview he committed to trying to get his body ready for Southern Hills, but was still non-committal on competing.
Tiger would be searching for his 5th PGA championship with past wins in 1996, 2000, 2006, and 2007.
Southern Hills has been the site of triumph and defeat for Tiger in his career.
Winner of the 2007 PGA Champsionship, 12th place at the 2001 U.S. Open, and 21th place at the 1996 Tour Championship (Fedex Cup).
The finish at the 2001 U.S. Open ended Tiger’s streak of four consecutive major championship wins.
